PERTANYAAN
Assalamu’alaikum ust Farid yang di cintai Allah Krn Ilmunya…
Ust, ada titipan pertanyaan lagi di teman kerja, Afwan jiddan klo ganggu waktunya ust 
Apakah wajib dikenai zakat profesi dari gaji seorang suami, misal dgn gaji 17 juta tapi dibulan tsb banyak sekali pengeluaran seperti cicilan barang, anak sekolah, anak harus terapi, biaya listrik yg naik, belum lagi harus cicil hutang yg masih banyak sama saudara2 kandung, dstnya… sehingga kebutuhan dgn gaji 17 juta tsb masih kurang, artinya harus mencari tambahan usaha untk menutupi kekurangan tsb.
Kondisi keuangan seperti diatas apakah masih dikenakan wajib zakat profesi??

JAWABAN
Wa’alaikumussalam wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh
Menurut Az Zuhri, dikeluarkannya zakat penghasilan adalah dari bruto, penghasilan kotor, sebelum dikurangi kebutuhan macam-macam.
Sementara Al Qaradhawi mengatakan zakat penghasilan dikeluarkan jika setelah dikeluarkan hutang konsumtif dan biaya kebutuhan asasinya. Jika ada sisa, dan sisanya masih nishab, maka keluarkan zakatnya.
Perlu diingat Utang cicilan barang baik cicilan rumah, motor, mobil, bukan termasuk pengurang. Begitu pula biaya kebutuhan yang tidak primer juga bukan pengurang. Sebab itu semua dihitung hakikatnya bukan utang tapi kekayaan.
